'Lucid' Dreaming

It's not particularly related, but this post by asuraid reminded me of something.

For the last... 3 years, maybe? I've been documenting my dreams. Unfortunately, almost all of them are exclusively on Discord (I really need to move them). That's not the point though. I can only remember one or a few real lucid dreams — all from long ago — but I think I've been getting closer to having more since I've started writing them down.

In these past couple of years, I've been having quite a lot of dreams where I either explicitly acknowledge a past dream (usually knowing it's a dream), or have a very strong déjà vu feeling about the location/events while I'm asleep. Funnily enough, sometimes those acknowledgements end up being of a dream I'm pretty sure never happened, like my brain is trying really hard to give me a cool experience but panicked and made shit up, or it very subconsciously held memories of a dream that I thought I'd forgotten.

deja vu dreams are the weirdest ones--especially when they vibrate out to either recognizing it in the dream, or the opposite where i've had the strongest deja vu feeling about a place i was in a dream and doing the exact things i'm doing at that moment

i also have a dream journal myself but its in my apple notes, and i've been writing them down since ... maybe 2013? ... i dream so rarely tho that there's not a lot of them LOL

I have records of my dreams from October 2023 in a dreams channel, but I don’t know exactly how many, since some dreams got split into multiple messages and I did post non-dream messages in that channel. However, the max number would be about 1000, and I’d say a conservative minimum would be 850-ish total dreams. I think I’ve dreamt like everyday this year so far, 85msgs and most of them are a dream lmaooo
