Challenge #1
Journaling Prompt: Light up your journal with activity this month. Talk about your goals for July or for the second half of 2025.
Creative Prompt: Shine a light on your own creativity. Create anything you want (an image, an icon, a story, a poem, or a craft) and share it with your community.
I don't have many goals that I'm actively working towards right now, but things I would like to do in the second half of this year include:
- Finish all the novels my friend lent me
- Finish weaving my stool
- Finish sewing my skirt
- Start sewing the matching shirt
- Not fall behind on uni work again
- Draw and write more
- Work more on leveling up my FFXIV jobs
- Do more exercise
- Participate more in fandom / generally interact with others
- Continue rewatching Yu Yu Hakusho
- Keep up with watching Apothecary Diaries
I'm not in the mood to create anything at this moment, but I'll link some stuff I've made semi-recently.

Challenge #2
Tunnel of Love
Journaling: The romance of summer! What do you love? Write about anything you feel sentimental about or that gets your heart pumping.
Creative: Write a love poem to anyone or anything you like.
Hm, I love a lot of things. I love my friends, video games, music, art, dancing, singing, science, textiles, reading, woodwork, chatting... I have a crush but it's not really important. Oh, y'know what's really good? Knicknacks with lots of functional parts. Bags with a billion pockets and straps and slots and hooks are the best, honestly. I always have the urge to get my grubby hands all over bags to judge them based on their knicknackery. Also, I've been thinking about sudoku again recently. Still slaps, one of my favourite filler activities, especially before bed.
If I had to say something serious, well... I love the memories I have of my maternal grandparents. They're dead now, but before, it was nice being around them. Willing to entertain and never harsh. I will always think positively of their massive backyard with fruit trees, a pond, the wilderness... Something funny to me is that I remember the word "succulent" because they had a couple of succulents in the garden area, and I found it rad when I saw them beginning vegetative propagation. I'm not particularly an outside person for a myriad of reasons, but it's good to just fuck around with some plants every now and then.
A poem? Hmm... I don't write love poems. The first thing that came to mind was the freedom and scenery of FFXIV's Azim Steppe in the Stormblood expac.
Sparks of colour burst forth, a sea of flames
Vibrant banners oscillate in the wind
The bestial cacophany flows across rolling fields, a mirror to the roaring in my lungs
Thrumming heartbeats pull at the strings of my throat
And my giddy laugh echos through the howling sky
Today burns, an everlasting warmth

Journaling prompt: What are your favorite summer-associated foods?
The first thing that comes for mind for a summer food would be coco fresa (Spanish), which is basically coconut water and strawberry syrup. I don't know the origin of the drink, but I associate it with Colombia. I guess I would consider most sweet-ish fruits to be peak summer foods. Ice-cream/sorbet definitely has to be top of the list somewhere. Bubble tea is a bit summery, right? Ooo, rocky road is a fete classic. Since my Christmas is in summer, I suppose that makes fruit mince pies a summertime treat for me.
... Starting to realise all of these foods are sweet. Would say hot chips is a fav, but I also associate it with iceskating, which isn't summery at all.

Fun House
Journaling: What is making you smile these days? Create a top 10 list of anything you want to talk about.
- Final Fantasy XIV!
- I don't usually play multiplayer games with strangers, but I love the controlled chaos of 8-24 man trials/raids. The more people die, the better, as long as it's recoverable.
- Reading
- I have a long list of comics I'm in the middle of reading, which I use as a filler activity most of the time. I'm not opposed to reading fics and original novels (in fact, I read about 12mil words of fanfic in 2022), but I'm not been in the mood to actively search for them in the past couple of years. My preferred genres are fantasy, romance, drama, and historical in general, and action only in comics.
- Chatting on Discord
- Every now and then, I enter a phase of talking to random people in Discord servers. There's something nice about jumping into conversations without having to worry about timing, talking over others, having a shared interest, etc. Also, I really like staring at my pfp, so sometimes I will up my activity if I change it, just so I can look at it more LMAO
- Dreamwidth
- I've tried doing stuff on other socmed, but they just don't give enough dopamine ngl. To me, Tumblr/HoYoLab/Bluesky and those "fast-paced" sites are content agregation, not somewhere I can actually post longass yaps (and journal sites like DW just have way more options inside of posts anyway). Really, the main reason I started posting my art in those places was just so I could share it in big Discord servers without worrying about anyone reposting my work with no way to trace it back to me.
- Honkai: Star Rail
- Yeah boo gacha, but I'm just too attached to the visuals (and I like turn-based games).
- Spider Solitaire / Sudoku
- Just good, simple activies. Uses my brain but not the critical thinking part.
- EPIC: The Musical
- So many banger songs.
- Writing / Art
- Not doing as much as I'd like, but it's always at least a little fun.
- Fashion
- Got quite a lot of new clothes this year. Usually I don't buy anything, but my mother seems to like picking outfits for me.
- Health
- Best I've been in years (which isn't saying much but I'll take it).

Also I agree that Dreamwidth just feels so much better to post and engage on if that makes sense xD I'm not worried about notes or kudos, just posting yaps and fics and having a good time xD (Same way I feel about Pillowfort, honestly, which is why PF and DW are the only two sites I actively talk on these days xD)
